Hey! My name is Alexa and I am the maker behind the wire! I have been wire wrapping since the fall of 2018 and I have been crafting since I was 6 years old. I have a passion for anything that allows me to express my creativity and my excitement for the arts.

I am currently finishing up my Bachelors in Fine Arts at Colorado State University, located in Fort Collins, Colorado, where I live with my three children. My children certainly keep me on my toes and I wouldn’t have it any other way. We live a quiet but humble life. We enjoy our fair share of the outdoors, spending most of our time in the woods hiking, camping, or fishing. On the weekends, we set up the living room for movie popcorn nights and spend lots of time at the park.

I started making jewelry over 10 years ago with beadwork. I made traditional mala necklaces and bracelets, but always had a curiosity for “heady style” wire wrapping. There was something about the weave techniques that attracted me to this style of jewelry; it reminded me of how elegant and timeless wire jewelry truly is.

Freedom & Flow Designs was born out of my desire to freely express my creativity and passion for all things crafty and artsy. It’s a place to allow my design ideas to flow without shame. A place where I can truly showcase my skills in various areas of art, and share my passion for wire with the world. I hope you get a sense of this expression through my products, and you become inspired to express yourself however you please. I make statement pieces that are one-of-a-kind because we are ALL different, one-of-a-kind beings. We deserve to share that unique-ness with everyone.
